7th Pay Commission jobs Pay Scale:
The candidates applying for the positions of Staff Car Driver will get the pay scale according to Level-2 in the pay matrix as per the 7th Central Pay Commission, which is Rs 19,900 respectively
India Post office has notified a total of 10 Staff Car Driver Vacancies out of which they have divided the vacant post according to the categories, the General category candidates are having 5 vacancies, OBC 2 post, SC 1 post, ST 1 post, EWS 1 post, ESM 1 post.
The official notification says, “Vacancy reserved for Ex-Serviceman will be filled up from any category and then be adjusted horizontally against respective categories UR/OBC/SC/ST/EWS as the case may be depending upon the category to which the selected candidate belongs to, that means the vacancy earmarked for Ex-Serviceman is included within the total vacancies of 10 (Ten) posts of Staff Car Driver (Ordinary)”.
The age limit set for the candidates is between 18 to 27 Years.
Period of Probation: The notice says that the period of which the candidates will be selected is of 2 years for direct recruits.
The candidates are suggested to read the eligibility criteria carefully before applying, the candidate must possess a valid driving license for light and heavy motor vehicles.
They should have knowledge of Motor Mechanism (The candidate should be able to remove minor defects in vehicle).
Having the experience of driving light and heavy motor vehicle for at least 3 years. Talking about the education qualification then the candidate should be 10th Pass from a recognized board or Institute.
Selection of Driver will be made on the basis of driving test to assess their competency to drive light and heavy motor vehicles from amongst the candidates possessing the requisite eligibility criteria mentioned above.
