Aishwarya Rai and Aaradhya Bachchan tested positive for Covid-19 today and Abhishek Bachchan has confirmed that the duo will be in self-quarantine at home. “Aishwarya and Aaradhya have also tested COVID-19 positive. They will be self quarantining at home. The BMC has been updated on their situation and is doing the needful. The rest of the family including my Mother have tested negative. Thank you all for your wishes and prayer,” shared Abhishek.

He also revealed that he and Big B are still at the hospital, “My father and I remain in hospital till the doctors decide otherwise. Everyone, please remain cautious and safe. Please follow all rules!”

While the father-son duo was admitted to Nanavati Hospital on Saturday after showing mild symptoms, Aishwarya and Aaradhya are asymptomatic and are set to remain in home isolation.

A Nanavati hospital official said, “Both (Amitabh and Abhishek) are stable and have mild symptoms.

Mumbai Police have beefed up security outside the Nanavati Hospital as well as outside the megastar’s two bungalows in Juhu area. After the Bachchans on Saturday said they tested positive for coronavirus and were admitted to hospital, some people tried to gather outside the medical facility located in Vile Parle (West), but they were asked to leave and not allowed to stand on the road, a police official said.

Abhishek Bachchan has thanked the BMC authorities for their prompt response. Many BMC teams were deployed at different bungalows owned by the Bachchan family to disinfect the place.

Maharashtra Health Minister Rajesh Tope has said, “Aishwarya ji and Aaradhya have tested positive. They are asymptomatic. They can be quarantined at home or get admitted to a hospital. This is the family’s decision completely.”

As per BMC: ‘Jalsa’, ‘Janak’, ‘Prateeksha’ and ‘Vatsa’ have been declared containment zones. Medical teams have been deployed at all four bungalows of the Bachchans. Thirty employees of the Bachchans have been tested for Covid-19 infection.
