Airtel has reportedly started to offer bundled Amazon Prime subscription on its lower-priced 40Mbps and 100Mbps broadband plans. This new revision is showing up for a few users inside the Airtel Thanks app. Airtel broadband plans are priced at starting from Rs. 499, and earlier this base plan did not offer any Amazon Prime subscription benefits. Amazon Prime and Zee5 membership were offered for broadband plans users with speeds above 200Mbps. However, that seems to have changed and base-level broadband plan users are also now reportedly getting the Amazon Prime benefit.

Previously, Airtel’s broadband plans starting from Rs 999 with more than 200 Mbps speed offered OTT benefits including Zee5 and Amazon Prime subscription.

The development was first noted by Only Tech who cited select Airtel broadband users who spotted the addition on Airtel Thanks App.

The change has not been reflected on the website or Thanks app and is only visible to select users. As per the report, Amazon Prime benefit is only being offered on the revised plans every month, and it is not applicable for semi-annual or annual purchases. The revised bundled offers are likely to be visible first for regular Airtel broadband users.

The benefits that come with the most basic Airtel broadband plans are up to 40 Mbps speed, unlimited internet and calls — local and STD, subscription to Airtel XStream, Wynk Music, Shaw academy, and other benefits.

Similarly, Rs. 799 broadband plan has been reportedly revised to Rs. 943, and it offers Amazon Prime subscription as well. This plan comes bundled with unlimited data, up to 100Mbps speed, and unlimited local/STD calls. It also comes with an Airtel Xstream app subscription. OnlyTech reports that while the app lists the price of this plan as Rs. 1,099, its actual price at the checkout is Rs. 943.

The report also says that the Amazon Prime benefit is only offered on these revised plans if purchased on a monthly basis, and it is not listed for semi-annual or annual purchases. These newly revised plans haven’t been rolled out broadly and are live for very few people. Existing Airtel Xstream Fiber users may have more chances of seeing this in the Airtel Thanks app than potential new customers.

Airtel Thanks users in select regions also spotted a postpaid plan at Rs 399 with 40GB data with 3G or 4G speed along with unlimited calling and 100 SMS per day. The Rs 399 postpaid plan also offers a subscription of Airtel Xstream Premium included for one year in addition to subscriptions of Wynk Music and Shaw Academy. Customers will also get Free Hellotunes and Rs 150 cashback on FASTag transactions.
