Government-owned telco Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has announced the launch of a new prepaid annual data voucher priced at Rs 1498. The data voucher offers unlimited speed with 2GB of data per day after which the speed is reduced to 40 Kbps. The plan will be available starting August 23 in all circles. The plan can be seen as an ideal work-from-home data plan for users carrying on with remote work.
Validity of newly announced annual data offer of ₹1498 will be 365 days. Customers can avail Unlimited Data with speed reduced to 40kbps after 2GB / day for the entire validity period i.e., for one year. BSNL Annual Data STV 1498 is applicable to all the existing as well as new prepaid mobile customers. BSNL customers can avail this low-cost annual data offer for Work From Home and Online Classes.
The development was first noted by Kerala Telecom. Now, there are plenty of data vouchers priced under Rs 1500 that offer data-only plans for users. Airtel and Vi also offer data prepaid plans at the same price point.

The Rs 1498 recharge plan offers 24GB data and has 365 days validity. Under this plan, users get 3600 daily SMS, Rs 150 cashback on FASTag, a subscription to Wynk Music & Airtel Xstream Premium, free online courses at Shaw Academy for 28 days, free Hellotunes, and anti-virus for your phone.
Rs. 2,399 Jio prepaid recharge plan benefits
As per the latest development, the Rs. 2,399 Jio prepaid recharge plan brings 2GB daily high-speed data allocation as well as unlimited Jio-to-Jio and landline voice calling, 12,000 minutes for non-Jio calls, and 100 daily SMS messages for 365 days. The new work-from-home plan sits alongside the existing Rs. 2,121 long-term prepaid plan that Jio launched in February. The Rs. 2,121 Jio prepaid plan offers 1.5GB high-speed data benefits per day — alongside unlimited voice and SMS messages for 336 days.
