COMEDK UGET Exam: Consortium of Medical, Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka Undergraduate Entrance Test,  COMEDK UGET Exam 2020 has been postponed again. The examination, earlier scheduled for August 1 has now been deferred till August 19, 2020. The official notice for the same was released on the official website. The decision was taken due to lockdowns announced till July 31 in a few states.

 

The undergraduate entrance test is conducted for admission to engineering and pharmacy courses in the state. The examination would be conducted in two shifts on the scheduled date of August 19. The morning shift would be from 9 am to 12 noon and the afternoon shift would be from 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm. Other terms and conditions for the examination would remain the same.

 

COMEDK, in a notification released on Friday, said: “After detailed discussions, it has been decided that the UGET 2020 for Engineering Courses will be held on Wednesday the 19th August 2020, in two shifts. First Shift will be held from 09.00 AM to 12.00 Noon and the second Shift will be held from 02.30 PM to 05.30 PM.”

COMEDK UGET 2020 is conducted for admissions to the Bachelor of Technology (BTech) program for engineering and architecture courses offered by 153 engineering colleges of Karnataka. More than one lakh candidates appear for this exam every year.

The notice reads, ‘Through its notification dtd. COMEDK had postponed the conduct on UGET 2020 scheduled on 01.08.2020 because of a few States announcing lockdown of the entire State and in some States a few districts till the end of July. We have taken all the aspects into consideration and discussed these aspects in detail with the stakeholders who are involved in conducting the examination.”

 

All the students who have applied for the examination are advised to keep a check on the official website for the latest updates. The admit cards for the examination would be released by COMEDK closer to the examination date.
