ITR filing: If you have any sort of tax-related work that needs to be done using the income tax department’s e-filing portal, then you need to complete the same by midnight tonight, i.e., May 31, 2021. This is because the e-filing portal will not be available between June 1, 2021, and June 6, 2021.

The income tax department is launching a new e-filing portal (www.incometax.gov.in) on June 7, 2021, and the existing portal, www.incometaxindiaefiling.gov.in, will not be available from June 1 to June 6. The portal will not be accessible during these dates for all stakeholders including taxpayers, banks, GSTN etc.

For occasion, taxpayers wouldn’t be capable of submit Form-15CA and 15CB throughout the intervening interval of revamp of the e-filing portal, i.e., from midnight of May 31 until midnight of June 6, 2021. 6) A new online tax payment system on the new portal will be enabled subsequently with multiple new payment options using UPI, net banking, RTGS/NEFT, credit cards from any account of the taxpayer in any bank, for seamless and convenient payment of taxes.
