This is not the first time such a plan

IOCL has not come up with such a plan for the first time. Earlier in July 2010, the then oil minister Murali Deora launched the preferred timing LPG distribution scheme. Under that scheme, the customer can ask for delivery between 7 am and 9 am. For this, 20 to 50 rupees per cylinder had to be paid more. Initially, many customers took advantage of it, especially working people, but according to LPG dealers, the scheme did not last long due to lack of publicity.
