The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released the much-awaited UPSC CAPF Notification 2020 on 18th August 2020 as per the official calendar of UPSC. The UPSC will be recruiting 209 eligible candidates as an Assistant Commandant (AC) in the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF). Through this recruitment, the selected candidates will fill up the AC vacancies in BSF, CISF, CRPF, SSB, and ITBP branches of CAPF. The recruitment is conducted once in a year by UPSC.

Eligibility Criteria

1. Nationality

A candidate must be either:

(a) a Citizen of India, or
(b) a subject of Nepal, or
(c) a subject of Bhutan, or
(d) a Tibetan refugee who came over to India before January 1, 1962, with the intention of permanently settling in India, or
(e) a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka or East African Countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, and Ethiopia or from Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.

Note: The candidates must be in possession of a certificate of eligibility issued by the Govt. of India for categories (b), (c), (d), and (e).

 

2. Educational Qualification

The candidates should hold a Bachelor’s Degree in any stream.

3. Age Limit

The candidates must have attained the age of 20 years and must not have attained the age of 25 years on 1st August 2020, i.e. he/she must have been born not earlier than 2nd August 1995 and not later than 1st August 2000.

Application Fee

The application fee can be paid with either online mode or offline mode.
Applicants who opt for “Pay by Cash” mode should print the system generated Pay-in-slip during part II registration and deposit the fee at the counter of SBI Branch on the next working day only. “Pay by Cash” mode will be deactivated at 23.59 hours of 07/09/2020 i.e. one day before the closing date; however applicants who have generated their Pay-in- Slip before it is deactivated may pay at the counter of SBI Branch during banking hours on the closing date.
