Vodafone Idea or Vi has brought in some benefits lately. It partnered with Viacom 18 to give users the benefits to Voot Select through Vi movies and TV. The telco also extended the weekend rollover benefits that lets users consume unused data over the weekend, and it gives the double data benefits that give users 4GB data per day. Now, Vi has introduced an offer that gives new users subscribing to postpaid plan 150GB additional data. According to reports, Vi has now started offering 150GB additional data with its Rs 399 postpaid plan. This benefit will be available to users charging through the myvi.in website.

Vi Rs 399 postpaid plan: The Vi postpaid plan offers 40GB data with unlimited STD and local calls for Rs 399 with 200GB rollover data. Now, the plan will also give 150GB data within the first six months of subscription, and the plan has to be subscribed from Vi’s website, myvi.in. OTT benefits for Vi postpaid services start from Rs 499 plan, like in Airtel’s case. However, the plan gives access to Vi movies and TV that gives users access to content from Voot Select and other streaming benefits. This plan also offers chargeable SMS benefits.

This is not the first time that the telco started offering additional data with its plans. Last month, Vi started offering 50GB additional data on its Rs 2595 prepaid plan to select customers. The Rs 2595 prepaid plan is an annual plan that offers 2GB daily data with 100SMS and unlimited calls. The plan also offers one-year premium access to Zee5 with Weekend Rollover Data benefit and access to Vi movies and TV. Users can check if they are eligible for the additional 50GB on Vi’s website or under the “For You” section by entering the user’s phone numbers. The telco also gave 50GB additional data on the Rs 1499 prepaid plan, again to select customers. This prepaid plan gives 24GB data over 365 days with 3600 SMS and truly unlimited calls. The plan also gives access to Vi movies and TV.

Earlier this year, Vi started the refarming process from the 3G spectrum to 4G in Mumbai, Delhi, and Kerala. Vi noted that it was ramping up with the migration of the 3G spectrum to 4G, to give users Vi GIGAnet 4G with the triple advantages of wider coverage, network quality as well as stronger traffic carriage capacity. Vi customers will be able to enjoy higher download and upload speeds apart from better indoor coverage.

It further noted that the integration of erstwhile Vodafone and Idea networks, combined with the latest 3G to 4G spectrum refarming gives Vodafone Idea “the edge of optimum availability and utilization of spectrum to serve the needs of tech-savvy individual customers as well as Enterprises.”
