Bhartiya Sanchar Nigam Limited has rolled out an offer that provides the benefits of its recently launched Rs. 399 STV at just Rs. 100. The offer is only available for the new users who join the BSNL network and can be availed upon joining directly or via Mobile Number Portability.
However, the offer comes with certain conditions. It is only available for customers who manage to produce BSNL coupon printed on the domestic LPG bills of IOCL/HPCL. And, the offer can be availed in only seven states in the country: Uttar Pradesh ( East & West), Uttaranchal, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Rajasthan, and Jammu & Kashmir. The coupon can be collected from the LPG dealers in these states.
BSNL Mega Offer Details, How to Avail?
In order to avail the offer, the customer will require to submit the BSNL coupon, that is printed on the domestic LPG bills of Indian Oil Corporation (IOCL) or Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL). So, the offer is appealing for the customers of these two LPG firms only. In an official statement, BSNL confirmed that the SIM cards could be collected by providing the coupons at any of the touch points.
Anupam Shrivastava, CMD BSNL said, “Mega offer is a truly unlimited welcome-gift to new and MNP prepaid customers where @ Rs 1.35 per day for 74 days.”
After submitting the coupon, BSNL will issue the SIM card to the user with the first recharge worth Rs. 399 at Rs. 100. After the offer, the overall price of the plan comes down to Rs. 1.35 per day.
BSNL Rs.399 Benefits
To recall, the state-run telco introduced the prepaid STV, priced at Rs. 399, back in August. Speaking of the benefits, BSNL is offering unlimited local, STD and national roaming calls with this plan. Interestingly, the offers are applicable to users in Mumbai and Delhi circles as well. In addition to this, the recharge plan offers 100 SMS per day along with 1GB data on a daily basis until the end of its validity. The plan carries a validity of 74 days from the date of recharge.
Further, subscribers will also get a free Personalised Ring Back Tone (PRBT) from the telco that comes with unlimited song changing option. Once the daily limit on the data is crossed, the speed comes down to 80 Kbps.
BSNL rolled out STV 399 to take on Jio’s Rs 399 prepaid recharge plan, which is currently offering unlimited voice calls to any network across India, 1.5GB data per day, along with 100 SMS each day for the entire validity period. The plan expires in 84 days from the date of recharge.
With the introduction of the new Mega Offer, Bhartiya Sanchar Nigam Limited is offering services at just Rs. 1.35 per day to the subscribers. The promotional offer is rolled out to attract new customers who will get the benefits worth Rs. 399 at just Rs. 100, if they sign up for the network. At an effective cost of Rs. 1.35, users get to have 1GB data, unlimited voice calls, and 100 SMS on a daily basis. Since the offer is aimed at bringing new customers to join the network, we do not know for how long it stays. The telco did not state if it is a limited period offer or a will be valid in the long-run. Promotional or not, the offer is quite tempting and the benefits of the STV stay for good 74 days.
