The JioBook, the first laptop from Reliance Jio, which was unveiled at the India Mobile Congress last month, is now available for purchase by Indian customers on the Reliance Digital site. The laptop’s entire details, comprising information on its 11.6-inch screen, Snapdragon 665 SoC, and 5000mAh rechargeable battery, were made public when it originally became available to dealers exclusively through the Government e-Marketplace. The Mukesh Ambani-led conglomerate built the low-cost laptops in collaboration with the tech behemoths Qualcomm and Microsoft is build on the popularity of its low-cost JioPhone in the country’s fiercely competitive Indian market.

JioBook’s pricing and warranty information

The laptop is listed on the Reliance Digital site as costing Rs 35,605, although it is currently on sale for Rs 15,799. When and how long the discount pricing will be offered are unknown. Till October 31, a variety of banks’ credit/debit card deals are accessible on the laptop. The company gives a one-year warranty on the JioBook.

A quick look at the features of the JioBook

The 11.6-inch High def LCD on the JioBook laptop is a hallmark of this small laptop. The Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 processor, which can support up to 2GB of RAM and 32GB of inbuilt storage, is the foundation of the JioBook. A microSD chip can also be used to increase the space by a maximum of 128GB. The entire device is powered by a 5,000mAh battery, which Jio claims can last up to 8 hours on one charge. Because there is no active cooling system, the design can be fanless. 

According to Jio, the laptop is powered by JioOS, which is designed for super – fast even on outdated hardware. The Jio Book has Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 5,0 for wireless signals in the sense of connectivity. A 4G LTE slot will be included for mobile connectivity. Additionally, the laptop has two 1W stereo speakers for sound. Furthermore, it contains a 3.5mm audio port for earphones. A single 2MP webcam is also available for videoconferencing.

To finish their KYC and select their chosen data packages, those who are enthusiastic about establishing the SIM card connection must go to the closest Jio Shop with their ICCID (SIM number). The built-in SIM card will then be made usable after that.

JioBook’s launch offers and availability

Customers who use specific banks’ debit and credit cards to buy a unit of a JioBook will receive special discounts of up to Rs 5,000. With a variety of issuers’ debit or credit cards, you can receive an immediate 10% reduction. Unfortunately, it appears that only government employees could buy the laptop at the moment, although we predict that broad distribution will occur soon.

The laptop is intended to provide learners and business owners with an economical alternative to high-end Windows laptops. The JioPhone Next and the laptop both look to be dark blue. it has only offered in a single color option, and customers can already make an online reservation through the Reliance Digital shop.
