Mobile Wallet Offers
After six days of a continuous hike, fuel prices on Wednesday have remained unchanged from record high levels in all of the major metros. As per the website of Indian Oil Corporation, petrol in Delhi is being sold for Rs. 80.87 per litre while in other metros such as Mumbai, Kolkata and Chennai it is retailing at Rs. 88.26, Rs. 84.05 and Rs. 82.74 per litre, respectively. And to bring in some relief to fuel consumers, consumers across verticals such as mobile wallet companies and credit card providers are extending lucrative cashback offers.
Herein we enlist some of the cashback and other offers for fuel expenditure by mobile wallet including Paytm, Mobikwik, freecharge etc.
Paytm offer
When customers pay their fuel bill using the Paytm app, the mobile wallet company is extending cashback of up to Rs. 7,500. The offer is valid from August 1, 2018 to August 1, 2019. But herein as per the RBI mandate, you need to provide any of your government document details for using the Paytm app
As per the website of Paytm, the offer stands valid on a minimum transaction value of Rs. 50 on all transactions.
To avail the cashback you need to participate in the offer and for that after your first Paytm transaction at the petrol pump outlet, you will receive an SMS for participating in and Get up to Rs. 7,500 cash back offer.

Freecharge
This mobile wallet service provider is extending flat cash back of Rs. 50 when you make payment for fuel using its service at select HP petrol stations. The offer is valid till September 30 and the minimum transaction amount is Rs. 499. The offer remains valid once per user/ freecharge account, mobile number or device.
The entire transaction amount has to be settled with freecharge as partial payments do not qualify for the offer. Further the company’s website said, “The customer shall receive flat Rs 50 cashback, on the transaction value of Rs 499 in the form of Freecharge Gift Instrument within 72 (seventy-two) hours from the date of transaction which can be redeemed on the Freecharge website or Freecharge application or any other merchant website wherein Freecharge Balance is acceptable, within 1095 days from the date of the credit and is non-transferable”.
Mobikwik
For a minimum transaction of Rs. 50 at petrol stations using mobikwik, users can get 25% super cash once in a month. The offer which opened on September 1 will close on December 31, 2018. The maximum super cash is limited to Rs. 200. Also, the maximum super cash limit for using in a transaction is set at Rs. 250. Additionally, 0.75% of the fuel purchase transaction amount is being refunded into the user’s wallet within a week’s time from the transaction date as extra cash back.
To avail the mobikwik super cash offer, you need to scan the QR code at fuel retail outlets and key in the transaction amount for payment.
PhonePe
This wallet service company introduced the offer long back in July and as part of it, fuel bill payment using PhonePe at select Indian Oil pumps offers cashback of Rs. 40. And until the offer period that ends on 15th September, the users are eligible to get the cash back for the first ten transactions. Note the minimum purchase amount is Rs. 100 for fuel purchase.
