Re-print of Aadhar: Don’t get panic, if your Aadhar Card is lost or misplaced, you can order your Aadhar card reprint.
UIDAI (Unique Identification Authority of India), has made provisions for Aadhaar cardholders to order a reprint. Now, you can order Aadhaar reprint even if your mobile number is not registered in Aadhaar. In a tweet UIDAI said.
“You can order Aadhaar reprint if your mobile number is not registered in Aadhaar. However, using this service does not mean that the new mobile number you give will get registered in your Aadhaar.” Aadhaar card is mandatory to avail benefits of any government scheme.
Here is how you can order for your Aadhaar card reprint if you don’t have registered mobile number:
- Please visit the official UIDAI website.
- Click on “Order Aadhaar Reprint” Service
- Enter your 12 digit Aadhaar Number (UID) or 16 digits Virtual Identification Number (VID)
- Enter the security code
- Click on the checkbox “If you do not have a registered mobile number, please check in the box”
- Please enter Non-Registered / Alternate Mobile Number.
- Click on “Send OTP”
- Click on the checkbox against “Terms and Conditions”. (Note: Click on the hyperlink to see details).
- Click on “Submit” Button to complete OTP/TOTP verification.
- On the next screen, the preview of the Aadhaar details will appear for verification by the resident before placing the order for reprint.
- Click on “Make payment”. You will be re-directed to the Payment Gateway page with payment options as Credit/Debit Card, Net Banking, and UPI.
- After successful payment, the receipt will get generated having a digital signature which can be downloaded by the resident in PDF format. The resident will also get the Service Request Number via SMS.
- Resident can track the status of SRN till dispatch of Aadhaar Letter on Check Aadhaar Reprint Request Status
- The resident can further track the delivery status by visiting the DoP website.
