Reliance Jio annual plan: Reliance Jio has announced new work-from-home plans with various benefits. The telecom leader has firstly introduced a new annual plan at Rs 2,399 with 2 GB per day benefits. Apart from this pack, several add on data packs without daily capping have been added as well to facilitate professionals across the country to working from home due to the ongoing Coronavirus-induced lockdown in India.
For Rs 2,399, Reliance Jio users get 2GB data per day. The plan offers unlimited voice and SMS. The validity of the plan is 365 days.
The Salient Benefits of the Reliance Jio Rs 2,399 Annual Pack
Reliance Jio says that the following are the benefits of the new annual pack:
- 33% more value over competition’s annual Rs 2,399 plan,
- Value-for-money plan for high-data users,
- Work-from-home made easy with affordable 2GB per day plans that costs effectively Rs 200/month only
The new annual plan joins the company’s Rs 2,121 scheme which comes with 1.5GB data per day. It also has unlimited voice and SMS and validity of 336 days.
In comparison, Airtel’s Rs 2,398 annual plan comes with 1.5GB data per day, unlimited voice and SMS benefits, and validity of 365 days. Vodafone’s Rs 2,399 plan comes with 1.5GB data per day, unlimited voice and SMS benefits, and validity of 365 days.
Apart from the new plan, Reliance Jio has also launched a new data add-on pack. These plans have no daily data capping. The new “Work from Home” packs are priced at Rs 151, Rs 201, and Rs 251. The plans come with 30GB, 40GB, and 50GB data respectively.
These plans come in addition to the company’s existing add on packs priced at Rs 11, Rs 21, Rs 31, Rs 51, and Rs 101.
Meanwhile, Jio parent Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) revealed its plans to launch the JioMeet platform while announcing its quarterly earnings for the fourth quarter. The new platform will take on the likes of Google Meet, Microsoft Teams, and Zoom, all of which have gained popularity during the coronavirus lockdowns in India and around the world. However, JioMeet won’t be entirely new as Jio attempted to bring a similar video conferencing solution in the past as well.
