Members of the Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) can check the balance of their EPF accounts from the comfort of their own homes. Members of the PF can do so by sending SMS and making missed phone calls.
The EPFO website and the UMANG app can also be used to check the EPF balance.
How to Check EPF Balance through SMS
A Provident fund is a financial security asset that acts as a stable and disciplined investment solution for the post-retirement needs of employees. Individuals PF contribution throughout their employment on a periodic basis, which can either be withdrawn while quitting jobs or during important occasions such as marriages and medical emergencies. Checking your Employees’ Provident Fund EPF balance can now be done without having to visit the EPFO office. You can check your balance by sending an SMS to the number given below. It can also be done by using the missed call facility. The SMS facility is available on a 24×7 basis and is supported in English as well as several regional languages.

PF members can visit ‘EPF Passbook Portal’ – https://passbook.epfindia.gov.in/MemberPassBook/Log
One needs to log in using UAN and password.
Then, you need to ‘Download/View Passbook.’
UMANG APP
You can check the EPF balance on the UMANG App.
Open the app and you need to go to EPFO.
PF members need to click ‘Employee Centric Services’, and select ‘View Passbook.’
You need to log in with the Universal Account Number (UAN) to view your passbook.
