Realme 5 Pro: Realme 5-series is now official in India. The company announced the Realme 5 and Realme 5 Pro at an event in New Delhi on Tuesday along with a brand new pair of Realme Buds 2 earphones. Realme 5 price starts at Rs 9,999 while the Realme 5 Pro Price at Rs 13,999.
The Realme 5 and Realme 5 Pro are the company’s first set of quad-camera phones to offer users more ways to capture photos. In addition to sporting four rear cameras, the Realme 5 phones also tout new crystal designs, Mini drop displays, large batteries, and new Snapdragon processors, among other things.
Realme 5 Pro: HIGHLIGHTS

The Oppo spin-off brand is really kicking it in 2019. From being the first company to actually showcase a phone with a 64-megapixel rear camera to confirming a quad-camera phone for less than Rs 10,000, Realme is intent on solidifying its position in the budget segment.
The company’s upcoming phones – Realme 5 and Realme 5 Pro – have generated a lot of buzzes and will be unveiled at an event in India today. But before the Realme 5 series makes its debut, here’s a rundown of what we know so far about the specifications, features, and pricing of the two upcoming phones that aim to rattle Xiaomi’s dominance in the Indian smartphone market.
Realme 5 and Realme 5 Pro: Price in INDIA

- Realme 5 has been priced starting at Rs 9,999 for the base model that comes with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage.
- It also comes in 4GB + 64GB and 4GB + 128GB variants that are priced at Rs 10,999 and Rs 11,999, respectively.
- The Realme 5 will be available in Crystal Blue and Crystal Purple colors.

- Realme 5 Pro’s price in India starts at Rs 13,999 for the 4GB + 64GB storage option.
- It will also be available in 6GB + 64GB and 8GB + 128GB variants that are priced at Rs 14,999 and Rs 16,999 respectively.
- The Realme 5 Pro will be available in Crystal Green and Sparkling Blue colors.
- In addition, Realme Buds 2 with 11.2mm bass boost driver and dual tangle-free cable has been launched at Rs 599.
Both the Realme 5 and Realme 5 Pro will be available on Flipkart and Realme.com. The first sale for the Realme 5 Pro is on September 4 while the Realme 5 will go on sale for the first time on August 27.
Realme 5 Pro: Specifications
- Both Realme 5 and Realme 5 Pro come with a new ‘Crystal design’. The phones also come with splash-resistant designs.
- The 3D curved glossy plastic rear panels come with a new diamond-cut design with a triangular pattern that is slightly different from what past Realme phones offer.
- The USP of the Realme 5 and Realme 5 Pro is the quad-camera setup.
- The Realme 5 Pro is the first 48MP quad-camera phone in its segment. It features a 48-megapixel Sony IMX586 sensor, an 8-megapixel 119-degree ultra-wide-angle camera, 2-megapixel macro lens, and 2-megapixel depth sensor. On the front, the Realme 5 Pro gets a 16-megapixel selfie camera with HDR and AI beautification.
- The main camera gets features like Nightscape, Chromaboost, and HDR. Both the rear and front camera on both the Realme 5 and Realme 5 Pro get EIS support, which should offer some stabilization while recording videos. Realme says that Nightscape mode for the front camera on the Realme 5 Pro will come soon.
- The Realme 5 Pro sports a 6.3-inch FHD+ (2340×1080) Mini drop display with 450 nits brightness and Gorilla Glass 3 protection.
- It is powered by a 2.3GHz Snapdragon 712 chipset based on a 10nm process. This is paired with up to 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage.
- The phone gets a triple card slot that can support two nano-SIM cards and a microSD card (up to 256GB).
- Realme 5 Pro houses a 4,035mAh battery and supports VOOC 3,0 fast charging with a 20W fast charger included in the box.
- It runs on ColorOS 6 based on Android 9 Pie. The handset measures 157×74.2×8.9mm and weigh 184 grams.
