The official twitter account of UIDAI (Unique Identification Authority of India), the regulatory body for Aadhaar Card recently put out a tweet telling users to be vary of Aadhaar Card frauds and listed out steps to ensure to help keep your identity safe.

UIDAI has advised people to avoid such frauds through the tweet. Along with this, it has told that you can check the Aadhaar card of any person online. For this, you have to enter the 12-digit code on this link (https://resident.uidai.gov.in/verify). Apart from this, the Aadhar card can also be checked from the mAadhaar app.
Besides that, UIDAI also said that if anyone is facing problem, then they should contact the telephone numbers that are revealed on the graphic. The legend on the graphic says “For any assistance/query: Call 1947 (Toll-free) or email at help@uidai.gov.in“ Also, it has given the social media credentials so that people can be updated about the latest news on the issue.
On July 8, UIDAI through another tweet warned everyone about not accepting any Aadhaar card without cross-checking it first. The tweet read, “All 12-digit numbers are not Aadhaar. It is recommended that the Aadhaar should be verified before accepting it as identity proof.”
UIDAI has stated that mere numbers cannot be considered as proof of Aadhaar. It has advised merchants to verify those numbers on the UIDAI website before accepting them as proof of identity. UIDAI has released a video showing what can be done to maintain the privacy and security of identity data.
These 2 services related to Aadhar stopped
Recently, UIDAI has stopped 2 special services related to Aadhaar. Its effect will be seen on all Aadhar cardholders. UIDAI is the Aadhar card issuing organization and it starts various services related to it from time to time, But this time 2 special services have been closed indefinitely. UIDAI has stopped the facility of updating address in Aadhaar Card through Address Validation Letter till further orders. Apart from this, the service of the Aadhaar Card Reprint in the old style has also been stopped.
