Less than a week after Reliance announced competitive high-speed, unlimited JioFiber broadband plans, Airtel has hit back. The telecom service provider recently announced the launch of its new Xstream Bundle that offers unlimited data to its broadband users.

The new Airtel Xstream Bundle plans will combine the company’s high-speed Xstream Fiber with speeds of up to 1 Gbps, unlimited data, access to OTT content, and the Airtel Xstream Android 4K TV Box. According to Airtel, the new plans will come with unlimited data, starting at 499. The Airtel Xstream bundles will be available to home customers starting tomorrow (September 7, 2020).

 

The Airtel Xstream bundle is available to customers starting September 7, 2020. Airtel claims to have 2.5 million broadband customers.

All Airtel Xstream Fiber plans now include the Airtel Xstream Box worth 3999. Customers get access to all LIVE TV channels plus the best of video streaming apps. This Android 9.0 powered smart box comes with an intelligent remote supported by Google Assistant voice search, access to thousands of apps on Playstore, and also offers online gaming.

 

Airtel said subscribers will be able to access 550 TV channels, over 10,000 movies and shows on Airtel Xstream Apps, Google Playstore apps along with online gaming through its Android enabled set-top box.

The plans priced between ₹ 999 to 3,999 will come bundled with subscription fees of Disney+ Hotstar, Amazon Prime Video, and Zee5 as well.

Earlier, Airtel was offering 100 Mbps speed with 150 GB FUP (fair usage policy) limit in ₹ 799 plan, 200 Mbps speed with 300 GB FUP in ₹ 999 plan, 300 Mbps speed with 500 GB FUP in ₹ 1,499 plan, and 1 Gbps speed with no data cap in ₹ 3,999 plan.

 

Mean-while, India on Monday touched the grim distinction of recording the second most highest number of COVID-19 cases globally. India surpassed Brazil with 42,04,614 cases and is now behind the USA which has recorded 6.29 million COVID-19 cases. Brazil has registered 4.14 million cases. India’s COVID-19 death toll breached the 71,000 marks as 1016 deaths were reported in the last 24 hours, said the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare on Monday. The number of deaths due to the infection has reached 71,642. The country registered a hike of more than 90,000 cases for the second time in a single day as 90,802 new cases COVID-19 cases were reported in the last 24 hours, taking India’s total coronavirus cases to 42,04,614.
