coronavirus helpline numbers in India, State and Union Territories wise: The government has tweeted a list of phone numbers of all states and Union Territories for people to request for help related to novel coronavirus pandemic. The total number of coronavirus cases in India has surged to almost 1000. Till now the deadly virus has killed 20 people, according to the data provided by the Ministry of Health and Welfare department.

There is a specific number of every states and Union territories, where you can directly reach out to the state authorities for help. However, the central helpline number is  +91-11-23978046 for queries related to coronavirus, where authorities will be for help. 

Today, the Home Ministry shared a tweet containing the list of phone numbers.”Below is a list of state and Union Territory-wise public helpline numbers for COVID-19. Please share it widely, the ministry also urges all citizens.

What is novel coronavirus (nCoV)?

Novel coronavirus (nCoV) is a large family of viruses that causes illnesses ranging from the common cold to acute respiratory syndromes. The virus has emerged from a seafood and animal market in China’s Wuhan.

Symptoms of Coronavirus

Coronavirus infection is similar to common cold and typically affects the upper respiratory tract. Symptoms include sore throat, mild headache and fever, cough and cold, shortness of breath, vomiting and diarrhea.

According to the World Health Organisation, the common symptoms of the novel coronavirus strain include respiratory symptoms such as fever, cough, shortness of breath and breathing difficulties.
