Reliance Jio recently rolled out new postpaid plans in India. Now, the company has rolled out in-flight connectivity plans for its postpaid users in India. For this, the company has partnered with a total of 22 airlines, which includes the likes of Emirates, Eithad Airways, Lufthansa, Swiss, Singapore Airlines, Malaysia Airlines and Virgin Atlantic among others.

With this, Jio has become the second Indian telecom company to offer in-flight service. Tata group firm Nelco has started providing in-flight mobile services in Vistara airlines on the London route.
The company has announced three international roaming packs for international travellers from India priced at ₹499, ₹699 and ₹999 with 1-day validity.
While all plans offer 100 minutes of outgoing voice calls and 100 SMS, the ₹499 plan provides 250 megabyte (MB) of mobile data, ₹699 gives 500 MB and ₹999 plan comes with 1 GB of data.
All of these in-flight connectivity plans are valid for a period of one day and they offer various services such as outgoing calls, SMS and net browsing capabilities to the users based on the flight and the destination. Additionally, incoming calls are not allowed and incoming SMSs are free. The company also cautions that the data speed may vary with the airline.
None of the plans will allow incoming calls, while incoming SMS is free, according to information available on Jio website.
First-time users of the in-flight mobile services will need to activate the plans on Jio network, and international roaming services will not work on JioPhone and Jio’s wifi device, according to the information on the website.
As far as the specific plans are concerned, the ₹499 plan offers 250MB of data along with 100 mins outgoing voice calls and 100 SMSs to the users. The ₹699 plan, on the other hand, offers 500MB of data along with 100 mins outgoing voice calls and 100 SMSs. Similarly, the ₹999 plan offers 1GB data along with 100 mins outgoing voice calls and 100 SMSs.
As far as the postpaid plans are concerned, Reliance Jio offers a total of five postpaid plans worth ₹399, ₹599, ₹799, ₹999 and ₹1,499. These plans offer data benefits ranging between 150GB and 300GB. These plans also offer a bunch of other benefits. You can check all the details here.
On September 22, Reliance Jio announced JioPostpaid plans starting at Rs 399, bundled with free subscription of the commonly used over-the-top platforms like Netflix, Amazon Prime Video and Disney+ Hotstar.
Besides, the plans include free access to Jio apps suite.
The plans start at Rs 399 and goes up to Rs 1,499. In all the tariff plans, the company is offering unlimited voice and messages and data rollover facility. Moreover, the company is offering additional postpaid connection under its family plan at Rs 250 per connection.
