Airtel free 5GB data: Airtel is giving its new 4G customers free data coupons of 5GB. The offer called New 4G SIM or 4G Upgrade Free Data Coupons is available for new 4G device users or users buying a new 4G SIM card. These users must install the new version Airtel Thanks app to avail the offer. The telco is giving free five 1GB free data coupons that can be availed from the Airtel Thanks app that can be downloaded from Google Play Store or Apple App Store.
According to a report in Telecom Talk, the offer is available for prepaid subscribers of Airtel in India and those who have purchased a new 4G SIM or upgraded to a 4G device and are registering on the Airtel Thanks app for the first time using a prepaid number.

After downloading the app, new users will have to register their prepaid mobile number on the app within 30 days of the activation of the mobile number. If users fill the above criteria, they will get notified on the app within 72 hours of registration.
Airtel, in its terms and conditions, notes that this offer can only be availed by users once using the same mobile number. Also, if users become eligible to avail of the free 5GB data coupons, they will be excluded from the free 2GB data that Airtel is currently 4G users who have not downloaded the app. The development was first noted by Telecom Talk.
To check for the free data coupons, Airtel users will get an SMS or a notification. They can also check the My Coupons section of the app. Users can redeem 1GB coupons for 90 days from the day of credit, and once a 1GB coupon is redeemed, it will be active for three calendar days and will automatically expire on the third calendar day.
Airtel is also giving free 6GB data to prepaid users who recharge with the Rs 598 prepaid plan through the Airtel Thanks App. Airtel prepaid users can avail of six 1GB coupons for plans priced at Rs 598 or higher.
For prepaid plans priced at Rs 399 or higher, Airtel is giving 4GB free data coupons, while for prepaid plans priced at Rs 219 or higher, Airtel is giving free 2GB free data coupons. All these plans have to be recharged through The Airtel Thanks app.
Earlier this month, the telco started offering its subscribers free access to YouTube Premium for three months as a promotional offer. This offer is available on the Airtel Thanks app and the company’s website to the users who are currently not using YouTube Premium, YouTube Red, YouTube Music Premium, or Google Play Music services, and will be live until April 22, 2021.
The YouTube Premium subscription starts at Rs. 129 per month and brings ad-free, offline, and background playback and pass to YouTube Music.
The telecom operator in the terms and conditions notes that this is a promotional offer that is available for only non-premium users so, if you are an existing YouTube Music Premium, YouTube Red, and Google Play Music subscriber, you will not be eligible for the offer.
