The services of Aarogya Setu, Coronavirus tracking mobile application, have resumed on early Wednesday after users complained of a technical glitch.

The users of the Aarogya Setu app late Tuesday faced some issues while trying to login.

“Some users have reported login errors on #AarogyaSetu. Our technical teams are on the job. We will be back soon. Sorry for the inconvenience,” Aarogya Setu tweeted earlier.

After the problem was rectified, the Twitter handle of the Aarogya Setu app stated, “Setu is back.

Several users reported the problem they were facing while logging in and the app’s team immediately acknowledged the issue. A twitter user reported, “Has the app crashed? Continuously showing login error… All my friends too facing the same problem…”

Aarogya Setu confirmed that the app’s technical team is fixing the issue. The tweet noted, “Some users have reported login errors on Aarogya Setu. Our technical teams are on the job. We will be back soon. Sorry for the inconvenience.” The app was then shortly restored, and the problem was resolved.

If you were also facing login errors on the app last night, there are chances that you will be able to safely log in this time as the glitch has been solved.

Aarogya Setu is a compulsory application for both private and public employees, as well as those traveling via the ‘Special trains’. It is claimed to have emerged as a powerful tool in tracking the spread of coronavirus infection in the country. 

The Aarogya Setu app, which has been designed to trace those who come in contact with infected coronavirus persons, has been questioned by security experts and hackers for possible privacy violations.

Meanwhile, The government of India, on June 29, announced guidelines for the second phase of reopening India, aka Unlock 2.0, which will reopen certain economic and other activities in the country. The Unlock 2.0 guidelines are based on the feedback received from states, Union Territories, and extensive consultation. It came into effect from June 1.
