BSNL Prepaid plan: State-owned telecom operator BSNL has rolled out a new plan for its prepaid users. The service provider has introduced a plan of Rs 485 for its prepaid subscribers. The new plan is available across all the telecom circles in the country.
Under the Rs 485 plan, BSNL offers unlimited local and STD calling and 100 SMS per day. The subscribers will also get 1.5GB of data per day. Along with this, the subscribers of this plan will also get a free caller tune facility. The prepaid plan of Rs 485 comes with the validity of 90 days.
This new prepaid plan of BSNL will compete against the plan of Rs 555 from Reliance Jio. The Mukesh Ambani-owned telecom operator also offers 1.5GB of data per day under this plan.
The Rs 555 plan offers an unlimited calling facility and 100 SMS per day to its users. The plan comes with a validity of 84 days and it also offers complimentary access to the MyJio apps which include JioTV, JioCinema, and more.
Earlier this month, BSNL revised two of its long-term prepaid plans. The service provider has revised the prepaid plans of Rs 1,999 and Rs 2,399. With this revision, the telecom operator has increased the validity of both plans.
BSNL has increased the validity of the Rs 1,999 plan by 21 days. This means that now the plan will be valid for 386 days. This is a limited period offer and is valid till January 31, 2021. Along with this, the telecom operator has also revamped its Rs 2,399 plan. The plan now offers a total validity of 600 days.
Also, Bharti Airtel Rs 598 prepaid plan comes with 1.5GB daily data for 84 days, whereas Vi has a similarly priced plan. Jio’s 1.5GB data per day plan costs Rs 555 and comes with 84 days validity. Time and again, BSNL is beating the private telecom operators, especially in the tariff plans department. The telco wasn’t able to add many subscribers in recent months despite such aggressive tariff plans.
