With 1,229 fresh infected Cases(of COVID-19 in India) reported within the last 24 hours, the total number of Coronavirus cases in India today jumped to 21,700 marks(as of now)- as per the latest data, released by the ”Home Ministry’.
Meanwhile, the death toll has gone up to 686 and 4,324 people have been recovered from this Pandemic.
More than three billion people around the world are living under lockdown for the past few days as governments stepped up their efforts against the coronavirus pandemic which has left more than 187,923people dead worldwide.
The Country(India) has witnessed a surge last week as hundreds tested positive after attending a religious gathering held by the Tablighi Jamaat in Delhi’s Nizamuddin last month.

Globally, the total coronavirus cases surged over 2.6 million while the death toll rose over 1,87,923, according to the latest data from Johns Hopkins University. US with over 8.5 lakh cases was the worst affected country, followed by Spain with more than 2 lakh infections and Italy with over 1.9 lakh infections. In terms of the death toll,United States reported over 48,778 death, followed by the Italy at over 25,549 and the Spain with nearly 22,157deaths.
Meanwhile, to ease the burden of the affected, the government has offered free tests and treatment to beneficiaries of Ayushman Bharat (AB-PMJAY). “Testing and treatment of COVID-19 are already available for free in public facilities. Now, more than 50 crore citizens, eligible under the health assurance scheme will be able to avail free testing through private labs and treatment for COVID-19 in impaneled hospitals,” said National Health Authority (NHA) in a statement.
