The name of this E Shram card is the Unique Identification Number Card and the name of the authority under which this card comes – Ministry of Labor and Employment. This scheme has been started by PM Narendra Modi for the unorganized sector workers and laborers. The main objective of this scheme is for the workers and laborers of the country. The Ministry of Labour & Employment is collecting data on all unorganized workers. Now NDUW Shramik Card Yojana is launched for this. This will be a Shramik card allotted by the Government of India to all the श्रमिक. Through this register eshram.gov.in e Shram card they will be able to get the benefits. NDUW E Shram Card UAN number can be availed by any unorganized worker who has done the registration on the web portal of E Shram’s official website. e-Shram card will be acceptable all over India as well as accident insurance coverage will be given to the applicant under PMSBY.

 

More than 1 crore workers have registered at the E-Shram portal set up to generate a comprehensive database of the unorganized workers required for the delivery of various welfare schemes.

The drive to facilitate the registration of unorganized workers on the E-Shram portal has received huge attention since its launch on August 26. As of Sunday (September 19), 1,03,12,095 workers have registered in the portal. Of these, around 43 percent are female and 57 percent are male.

The E-Shram portal is generating a database of workers from different sectors like construction, apparel manufacturing, fishing, gig and platform work, street vending, domestic work, agriculture and allied, and transport sector. An overwhelming proportion of migrant workers are engaged in these sectors of work.

 

  • Migrant workers must remember that e-Shram cards received after registration will be accepted across the country.
  • They are eligible for accidental insurance coverage through Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana (PMSBY).
  • Migrant workers and their families are eligible to avail Rs 2 lakh in case of accidental death and permanent disability.
  • Apart from these, there is Rs 1 lakh in case of partial disability.
  • It must be noted that Social Security Benefits will be delivered through the e-Shram portal.
  • Migrant workers need to register on the e-Shram portal – http://eshram.gov.in.
  • Registration on the e-SHRAM Portal can be done through Self-Registration, Common Service Centers (CSCs), and Regional offices of State Governments.
  • In case, migrant workers are facing any problem while registering, call Help Desk Number – 14434.

 

How to Apply for E Shram Card Self Registration?

  • Open the official web portal https //eshram.gov.in.
  • Click on the link of registration
  • Now as soon as you will click on the link it will open up a new page.
  • Now in that new page you will see certain details which you need to add up.
  • Add those details and do your registration properly.
  • At the time of OTP, wait for it to come on the mobile screen.
  • After that continue with the registration.
  • Once it is done, save the message of successfully submitted the application form.

Upon successful registration, the workers will be issued an eSHRAM Card with a Unique UAN number. After that, the Shramik can avail benefits of the Sarkari scheme through this card at any time anywhere. This is the only card of its kind for the unorganized employees, hope that government will take a further step to overcome unemployment.
