JEE Main, NEET 2020 live updates: The Joint Entrance Examination Main 2020 and National Eligibility cum Entrance Test 2020 are scheduled for September 2020. The Supreme Court had rejected the plea to postpone the entrance examinations. Six Ministers of opposition-ruled states approached the Supreme Court on Friday against its order of allowing NEET and JEE Main 2020 exams despite the increasing Covid-19 cases in the country. The plea has been filled by the ministers from West Bengal (Moloy Ghatak), Jharkhand (Rameshwar Oraon), Rajasthan (Raghu Sharma), Chhattisgarh (Amarjeet Bhagat), Punjab (BS Sidhu) and Maharashtra (Uday Ravindra Sawant). The NEET 2020 exam has been scheduled to be held on September 13 while the JEE Main 2020 will be conducted from September 1 to 6.

NTA is conducting JEE Main 2020 and NEET 2020 amid the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. The Indian Institute of Technology Delhi (IIT Delhi) students and alumni promptly came forward and launched a dedicated portal to connect with Samaritans who may want to help the needy candidates.

NTA previously said that sufficient arrangements have been made to conduct the exams safely. NTA has also said that over 99% of candidates have been assigned their “first choice of center cities” and assured the candidates of JEE Main and NEET. Odisha has announced free transportation and accommodation for JEE and NEET candidates and decided to lift lockdown in cities with examination centres.

Meanwhile, six Ministers of opposition-ruled states on Friday moved the Supreme Court seeking review of its order permitting the Centre to conduct NEET and JEE entrance exams this year amid the persisting COVID-19 pandemic.

From environment activist Greta Thunberg to ministers of different Indian states, politicians have joined students’ voices demanding postponement of the two exams. Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik and West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee recently opposed the idea of conducting exams amid a pandemic. Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia reiterated his demand that medical and engineering entrance exams NEET and JEE be postponed and the Central Government work on alternative methods for selecting students.

1. Reach your exam center at least 30 minutes before reporting time.
2. Carry all the necessary documents with you. Ensure to carry your JEE Main 2020 hall ticket and follow the instructions.
3. Avoid studying anything new one day before the exam
4. Stay calm, confident, and trust yourself.
5. Brush up important formulae in all three subjects.
6. Relax or indulge in meditation a day before the actual exam in order to give your best on the exam day.
7. Don’t discuss any subject related things with friends.
8. Don’t ask your friend how much they have studied. It will create unnecessary pressure.
9. Have a proper sleep for at least 6-7 hours.
10. Avoid borrowing anything inside the examination hall.
