NEET 2020 result to be declared soon; check NTA NEET result date here

National Testing Agency (NTA) is expected to release the NEET 2020 result anytime soon on the official website. As per the latest update on the result date of NEET 2020, NTA officials confirmed that the result will be announced by October 12. NEET 2020 has been conducted by authorities on September 13 for around 15.97 lakhs aspirants, in which over 13 lakhs aspirants have appeared for the medical entrance test. On the basis of NEET exam results 2020 admission to 80,055, MBBS, 26,949 BDS, 52,720 AYUSH, and 525 BVSc & AH offered in colleges of India.

Here’s how to check NEET 2020 result

  • Go to NEET’s official website atwebsite ntaneet.nic.in
  • Click on the link that reads ‘NEET (UG) – 2020 Result’
  • Fill the details like application number and date of birth in the box.
  • Click on submit.
  • You will be able to view 2020 NEET results on your screen.

Candidates need to meet the minimum qualifying criteria as set by the NTA for admission to India’s premium medical colleges. General or unreserved (UR) category candidates have to score at least 50th percentile in the exam, while those belonging to SC/ ST/ OBC need to obtain the 40th percentile.

Meanwhile, the NTA has released the scanned images of NEET OMR sheets. From the OMR sheets, candidates can match their answers with the answer keys for all the subjects of NEET and raise their objections (if any) against the NEET 2020 OMR sheet before October 7, 2020, till 6 pm.

Mean-while, India detected 72,049 cases and 986 deaths due to Covid-19 in the 24 hours ending 9 am Wednesday. This takes the country’s tally to 67,57,132, including 9,07,883 active cases, 57,44,694 recoveries and 1,04,555 deaths.

The Union Health Ministry Monday said nearly 50 percent of the deaths due to Covid-19 in India were concentrated in 25 districts in eight states. Of this, 15 districts were in Maharashtra. Addressing the press, Union Health Ministry Secretary Rajesh Bhushan said India had the highest number of recoveries from the disease, at over 56 lakh, and has also conducted the second-highest number of tests, at 8.10 crore. Active Covid-19 cases have been below 10 lakh for the last two weeks, while the recovery rate has improved to 84 percent, he added.

Ten states, including Maharashtra, Karnataka, Kerala, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, and Uttar Pradesh, account for 77 percent of the active cases in the country.

Globally, over 35.7 million people have been infected with the disease while more than one million have succumbed. More than 24 million people have recovered.
