OnePlus has reportedly joined the Wireless Power Consortium and was the only brand that lacked support for Qi wireless charging support. Now it’s a good time for all the One Plus lovers as the brand is likely to implement the wireless charging feature in its next line up of smartphones the OnePlus 8 series. a report states that OnePlus has reportedly joined the Wireless Power Consortium- the group which handles the Qi Wireless charging that is used by almost every smartphone.  Earlier it was was the only brand that lacked support for Qi wireless charging.

Prime Brands like Apple and Samsung had implemented the wireless charging feature long ago. Although Apple had never been skeptical about the entire wireless charging thing, they joined the Wireless Power Consortium just before the launch the iPhone 8 and the iPhone X series while Samsung had provided wireless charging support to a lot of its devices like the Galaxy Note10, Note10+, Fold, S10e, S10, S10+, Note9, S9, S9+, Note8, S8, S8+, S7 and many more. OnePlus is likely to follow suit soon.

The Chinese smartphone brand is likely to come up with three new smartphones during the first half of 2020. The OnePlus 8, OnePlus 8 Pro and OnePlus 8 Lite will be available in the market by this year. The last smartphone in the series was One Plus 7 series. Sources have confirmed that the implementation of a new 30w charger will be in the effective race of game-changer in the market.

However, the OnePlus 8 family of phones are expected to arrive sometime in the first half of 2020, in the month of May and will cost around £549. When it comes to design,’ early renders of the OnePlus 8 series suggest OnePlus will opt for a punch-hole design for its next devices though.
