PM Kisan 10th installment: Prime Minister Narendra Modi released the 10th installment of financial benefit under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) scheme on Saturday. Under the scheme, an amount of over 20,000 crores was transferred to more than 10 crore beneficiary farmer families across the country.

Modi released the amount to beneficiaries at an event held through video conference.

Addressing the nation after the event, PM Modi said, “Crores of farmer families of the country, especially small farmers, have received the 10th installment of the Prime Minister’s Kisan Samman Nidhi. 20,000 crores have been transferred in the bank accounts of farmers.”

1) Transfer of amount: PM Kisan 10th installment
The scheme provides minimum income support up to Rs 6,000 to farmers across the country. The amount is directly transferred to the bank account of the farmers.

2) How is family defined for the scheme?
The government has defined the family for the scheme, which consists of husband, wife, and minor children. State Government and UT administration will identify the farmer families, which are eligible for support as per scheme guidelines. The fund will be directly transferred to the bank accounts of the beneficiaries.

3) How to check status?
 An individual can also ascertain his status through the Farmers Corner in the PM Kisan portal.

In order to check the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi beneficiary status, one has to follow some simple steps. They are as follows:

Step 1: The individual has to visit the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi home page pmkisan.gov.in

Step 2: The individual will then have to click on the ‘Beneficiary Status’ tab is present on the home page

Step 3: Now, after clicking on the beneficiary status, the person will have to choose either option – Aadhaar number, Account number, or Mobile number

Step 4: After choosing the selected option, click on ‘Get Data’

Now, the beneficiaries will be able to see the data.

4) What to do if eligible farmers are not included in the beneficiary list?
In the case of farmer families whose names are not included in the list of beneficiaries, they can approach the District Level Grievance Redressal Monitoring Committee in their districts for the inclusion of their names in the beneficiary list. Furthermore, they must know that the government has created an exclusive Farmers’ Corner in the PM-KISAN web portal at pmkisan.gov.in in giving certain facilities to the farmers.
