Prime Minister Narendra Modi yesterday surprised a bunch of CBSE students and their parents by logging into an interactive session organised for them by the Union Education Ministry. He shared encouraging words with them, heard out their anxieties, and received their heartfelt thanks for cancelling the board’s Class 12 exams for academic year 2021.
As the Prime Minister gave a surprise by joining the live session, students were excited to discuss with him their doubts.
He also interacted with the parents of the CBSE students during the meet and had a chat with them on the issues and concerns of students and their parents.
PM Modi’s June 1 decision was made keeping in mind the prevailing Covid conditions and the students’ health and safety.
“I joined you suddenly…Hope I have not disturbed you, you were having fun…it looked like your joy was boundless because the exam was cancelled,” the Prime Minister told the students today.
Earlier, on June 01, he called for a high-level meeting to announce the decision of cancelling Class 12 exams due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
Arni Sable, a Class 12 student from Indore said that it was once in a lifetime opportunity for her to interact with the Prime Minister and called it an unforgettable moment.
“It was a very different experience and a once in a lifetime opportunity for me. We did not know that the Prime Minister will be joining the meeting. We thought that our opinions will be taken over assessment,” Sable said.
During the meeting, the Prime Minister heard the issues and concerns of the students and their parents and asked about their opinion about the cancellation of the class 12th examination in view of the COVID-19 pandemic.
