SSR’s family lawyer calls Rhea’s FIR illegal, Mumbai police official refutes claim

Rhea Chakraborty filed an FIR at the Bandra Police Station yesterday against Sushant Singh Rajput’s sister Priyanka, Dr Tarun Kumar of Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital and others for forging a prescription and administering drugs to the late actor. The late actor’s family lawyer, Vikas Singh termed the FIR “illegal” because as per the Supreme Court’s order, no third-party agency can register a fresh case given that the matter is already under CBI’s jurisdiction. Based on this technicality, SSR’s family may move the Bombay High Court to quash the FIR entirely.

Today, a senior Mumbai police official, refuting Vikas Singh’s claim, said that anyone can register a case, however, considering CBI has been charged with the investigation, this case will also be transferred to the central investigation agency. As per latest reports, Rhea’s case has also been transferred to the CBI.
