SSB Recruitment 2020: Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) invites online applications for recruitment of Constables in Driver, Laboratory Assistant, Veterinary, Ayah, Carpenter, Plumber, Painter, Tailor, Cobbler, Gardner, Cook, Washerman, Barber, Safaiwala, Water Carrier, and Waiter disciplines in Group-‘C Non-Gazetted (Combatised) in SSB, Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India. The posts are temporary but likely to continue.

Important dates
Last date for online application – December 20, 2020, except in remote areas.
The Center of Chamba District of Himachal Pradesh, Union Territory of Andaman and Nicobar Islands and Union Territory of Lakshadweep), the last date will be December 27, 2020.

Eligibility Criteria for SSB Recruitment 2020
For Constable (Driver) only for male
Matriculation or equivalent from a recognized board. Must possess a valid Heavy Vehicle Driving Licence.
For Constable (Laboratory Assistant)
Matriculation with science from a recognized board or institution. Should have a certificate in Laboratory Assistant Course from an Institution recognized by Central Government or State Government.
For Constable (Veterinary)
Matriculation Exam passes with Science as the main subject from a recognized board or University.
For Constable (Ayah) for Female only
Matriculation with science from a recognized board or institution. Possessing the first Aid Examination pass certificate from Red Cross Society or should be trained Dai. 01-year experience in the relevant field.
For Constable (Carpenter, Plumber, and Painter)
Matriculation or equivalent from a recognised board. Two years work experience in respective trade, or one-year certificate course from a recognized Industrial Training Institute or Vocational Institute with at least one years’ experience in the respective trade; or Two years Diploma from a recognized Industrial Training Institute in the respective trade or similar trade, and Must qualify trade test.
For Constable (Cook, Washerman, Barber, Safaiwala, Water Carrier, Waiter, Tailor, Gardner, and Cobbler)
Matriculation or equivalent from a recognised board. Two years’ work experience in respective trade; or one-year certificate course from a recognized Industrial Training Institute or Vocational Institute with at least one years’ experience in the respective trade; or Two years Diploma from a recognized Industrial Training Institute in the respective trade or similar trade; and Must qualify trade test.
Application fee
General, EWS, and OBC category candidates are required to pay Rs 100 only being a fee (non-refundable) through net-banking/ credit/ debit card/ Challan. However, SC/ST/ Ex-Servicemen and Female candidates are exempted from payment of the fee.
Selection process
As per the candidate’s performance in the Physical Efficiency Test, Physical Standard Test, and Written Test.
