WhatsApp will reportedly stop working on a few smartphones after days starting from November 1, 2021. The messaging app’s parent company Facebook had announced the termination of WhatsApp’s services from select devices last month.

The reason behind the termination of services on such smartphones is that WhatsApp will no longer support older versions of Android and iOS to ensure that the app’s safety and user privacy is maintained.

In its announcement, WhatsApp has said that the app will not be supporting older versions of both Android and iOS. Anyone with a smartphone supporting Android OS 4.1 and above and iOS 10 and above will be the only ones who will be able to use the messaging app.

All the Android and iOS users can also check the version of the software that they are using via accessing the mobile phone settings.

However, Android users can check Settings, then About Phone to see which Android version their smartphone is running on. Earlier, WhatsApp had stated that it is working on view once messages that would disappear forever after just being viewed once.
