Jio New Rs 222 pack: A few weeks ago, Reliance came up with tempting offers for new subscribers giving free VIP subscription to Disney+ Hotstar at no cost with other benefits. The offer was only valid for new customers. This left subscribers who had already subscribed to annual plans a little disappointed.
However, what comes as a respite to existing subscribers is a new plan that was posted on the DesiDime website. The listing states that Reliance Jio is offering a plan at Rs 222 with a free annual VIP subscription to Disney+ Hotstar and other benefits. But the plan is not listed on Jio’s website.
Jio is reportedly offering a new Rs. 222 data pack with complimentary annual VIP subscription of the Disney+ Hotstar service to select subscribers. This plan has been introduced primarily for existing annual subscribers that do not get the annual Disney+ Hotstar subscription benefit. Earlier this month, Jio started giving a one-year subscription of Disney+ Hotstar VIP to all prepaid users who recharge their accounts with Rs. 401 plan, Rs. 2,599 plan, and select 4G data vouchers. The Rs. 222 plan has been introduced as a respite for all existing annual consumers who already enjoy talk time, data, and SMS benefits, but do not have the newly introduced Disney+ Hotstar benefit.
This Rs. 222 Jio prepaid pack offers 15GB of high-speed data that is valid until the base plan expires. Apart from the data benefit, it also include free one year of Disney+ Hotsar VIP subscription as well. This pack is live for a few subscribers only as we aren’t able to spot it in our existing annual subscription accounts.
If users want to enable this plan, they should download the Disney+ Hotstar app and log in using OTP from the eligible Jio number. Alternately, users can also click on Jio’s link http://tiny.jio.com/r457tjl for details about the plan.

To avail the Disney+ Hotstar subscription, the other base plans start from Rs 401. The plan comes with 3GB daily data for 90 days which totals up to 270GB data.
Jio is also offering 6GB additional data which makes it a total data spread of 276 GB. With this prepaid plan comes 1000 minutes of Jio to non-Jio calling.
Jio also offers a yearly plan of Rs 2599. This annual offer gives 2GB daily data with 10GB extra data for a validity of 365 days. The offer also gives 12000 minutes of Jio to non-Jio calling.
Disney+ Hotstar VIP subscription lets users watch exclusive shows from Star India and partner channels at 6 pm daily, ahead of their TV premiere, Hotstar Original programs, live sports, live news, and Hindi-dubbed catalog from Disney, HBO, Showtime, and other streaming partners. The plan separately comes at Rs 399 on a yearly basis.
In case, users already have a subscription to Disney+ Hotstar, they can opt for add-on plans being offered by the telco. These start at Rs 612 and go up to Rs 1208. The add-on plans offer both voice calling and data benefits.
