Eligibility for MSME Registration

The distinction between the manufacturing and services enterprises has been removed by making the investment amount and annual turnover similar for enterprises engaged in both the sectors.

Registration Process For MSME

MSME registration can be done online as well as offline. Following is the process of MSME registration

Online

  • Log in to the website of the MSME online application https://msme.gov.in/online-application.
  • Enter the details like Aadhar details, PAN details, social category and gender, MSME number, investment amount etc.
  • Gather the documents required for the registration.
  • Submit the application process.
  • Now, the verification will be done which can take up to 2 working days.
  • Once the application is approved registration will be done.
  • MSME registration certificate will be delivered to your doorstep.

Offline

  • Log in to the website of the MSME and download and print out the application form.
  • Fill in the required details like Aadhar details, PAN details, social category and gender, MSME number, investment amount etc.
  • Upload the documents on the website.
  • Submit the application process.
  • Now, the verification will be done which can take up to 2 working days.
  • Once the application is approved registration will be done.
  • MSME registration certificate will be delivered to your doorstep.

Applicants will be asked to pay an MSME registration fee of Rs 1,999. Payment can be made online.

Business Address Proof

For self-owned premise: Lease deed, property tax receipt, possession letter, allotment letter, etc.

For rented premise: NOC from the landlord, rent receipts, utility bills or document evidencing the landlord’s ownership, etc.
