Tata Motors today unveiled its much-awaited Nexon electric vehicle in India. The all-new Tata Nexon electric vehicle is the second EV to be showcased in our country in December 2019, following the premiere of MG ZS electric vehicle earlier this month.
Tata Nexon Electric Vehicle Motor:
The Nexon EV will come with the new Ziptron powertrain technology. It will be powered by a liquid-cooled permanent magnet AC motor producing 129 hp and 245 Nm of peak torque. The motor is offered with an automatic transmission.
Tata Nexon Electric Vehicle Acceleration:
The car will make 0-60 kmph in 4.6 seconds, while it will go from standstill to 100 kmph in 9.9 seconds.
Tata Nexon Electric Vehicle Battery:
It will have 30.2 kWh high energy density lithium-ion battery pack. Now, this is an IP 67 rated battery pack and is dust and waterproof. It also complies with the AIS-048, nail penetration test. Its casing is impact resistant.
Tata Nexon Electric Vehicle Charge:
The customers will be able to charge up to 80 per cent in an hour using a DC fast charger. The electric vehicle can be charged up to 80 per cent with a standard 15A home socket in eight hours.
Tata Nexon Electric Vehicle Range:
Have a range of more than 300 km.
Tata Nexon Electric Vehicle Warranty:
The EV will have a warranty of eight years or 1.60 lakh kilometres on the battery.
Tata Nexon Electric Vehicle Variants:
The Nexon will be available in three trims — XM, XZ+ and XZ+ LUX.
Tata Nexon Electric Vehicle Features:
The Nexon will come with features like contrast automatic headlamps, automatic rain-sensing wipers, dual-tone roof, 16-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels, premium leather seats, leather-wrapped steering wheel, 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system, fully automatic climate control, keyless entry & push-button start and sunroof.
Tata Nexon Electric Vehicle Bookings:
The bookings for the Nexon EV will start on December 20. The booking amount will be Rs 21,000.
Tata Nexon Electric Vehicle Launch:
The Nexon EV will be launched in India in early 2020, probably January-March quarter of FY 2019-20.
Tata Nexon EV Price:
The Nexon EV might be priced between Rs 15 lakh (ex-showroom) and Rs 17 lakh (ex-showroom).
