PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana: Farmers Can Get 2 Installments

PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana: Farmers who have not yet registered themselves for the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana, must do the same before the end of this month, i.e, June 30 to get double benefits from the scheme. If their application is accepted, they will get two installments of the scheme simultaneously, reported Zee News.

Hundreds of people who do not qualify have also taken the benefit of Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana. The concerned people have also taken the amount of first and second installment. According to the scheme, farmers or other people who pay income tax cannot take advantage of this. Despite this, a large number of such people have taken advantage of it. Therefore, from the level of the central government itself, the process of recovery of the amount from the concerned income tax payers has been started. In Koderma also 578 such people have been identified who are income tax payers and have taken benefit of Kisan Samman Yojana.

Which farmers will benefit

PM Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme is a Central scheme with 100 per cent funding from the central government. Under the scheme, income support of 6,000 per year in three equal installments is being provided to small and marginal farmer families having combined landholding/ownership of up to 2 hectares.

State Government and UT administration identify the farmer families which are eligible for support as per scheme guidelines and directly transfer the fund to the bank accounts of the beneficiaries.
