We have good news for farmers! Several reports have stated that under the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana, instead of Rs 2000 being deposited into the farmers’ account quarterly, Rs 4000 will be deposited going forward. 

However, if you are a farmer and have still not registered yourself under the PM Kisan Scheme then the last date for you to register is on September 30. After you apply and your application is accepted, you will get Rs 2000 into your bank account by October or November and another installment of Rs 2000 in December.

According to reports, the last date to register for this amount is September 30 and the farmers need to register themselves on the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana portal to receive the amount. After doing the registration, if your application gets accepted, then, you will have Rs 2000 deposited into your account by October or November followed by another installment of Rs 2000 in December.

Some of the media reports further suggest that the Central government is planning to double the amount provided to farmers under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana (PM KISAN). In case this happens, farmers will be able to receive Rs 12000 in three installments instead of the previously received Rs 6000 every year. However, it must be noted that till now, about 12.14 crore farmer families have benefitted from this scheme.

Here’s how you can register for the PM-Kisan scheme:

First, you need to visit the official website of PM Kisan.

Once you’re on the landing page, click on ‘Farmer’s corner’.

After the page opens, click on ‘New Farmer Registration’.

After this, you have to enter your Aadhar number.

After you’ve gotten this far, you will have to enter the captcha code and then move on to the next page of the form.

On the next page, fill out your details.

Along with this, bank account details and information related to the farm will have to be filled in.

Finally, you submit the form.

Meanwhile, On August 9, the 9th installment of Kisan Samman Nidhi has been sent to the farmers’ account. The 9th installment of the farmers has been transferred to the farmers’ account on August 10.
