Now users can access all government services through a single mobile interface with the Unified Mobile Application for New-age Governance (UMANG), a Digital India initiative of the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY). UMANG integrates seamlessly with popular customer-centric services such as Aadhaar, EPFO, and NPS. UMANG will make it easier for citizens to find government services by allowing them to download a single mobile app rather than multiple apps for each department.

Services such as EPFO, PAN, NPS, CBSE, pathshala, GST, HP Gas, Bharat, Indane Gas, and DigiLockers can be supported. It is available in 13 languages such as English, Hindi, Assamese, Gujarati, Bengali, Kannada, Odia, Punjabi, Malayalam, Marathi, Tamil, Telegu, Urdu. What services are available on Umang?

EPFO on Umaang

PF members can use their UMANG App from their phones to access 16 different EPFO services. Please note that the use of these services requires an active UAN (Universal Account Number) and an EPFO mobile number.

myPAN on Umaang

New PAN Card application form 49A for individuals, businesses, and so on can be done using this app. Using the CSF form, you can update the information on your PAN card. Check the status of your PAN card and make payments online. Restart your 49A and CSF applications. By providing their application number, applicants can make payment for PAN form 49A and Change Request form (CSF).

Pension Portal on Umaang

Pensioners will be able to access their dashboard, which will provide sanctions and payment information. They can also save the dashboard in pdf format for future use and printing. Users would be able to determine their pension and the amount of their commuted pension. The user would be able to measure gratuity as well.

GST on Umaang

GST, or Goods and Services Tax Network, offers IT infrastructure and services linked to GST. It is critical in the registration and search of GST taxpayers, the payment of GST, and the filing of returns. Users will learn about the GST registered Taxpayer’s GSTIN status, the date of registration, and the Taxpayer Kind.

HP Gas, Bharat Gas, Indane Gas on Umaang

Book a cylinder, pay your fee online, view your refill history, check subsidy records, and request a double cylinder connection. A citizen can monitor the status of their KYC request and be redirected to a payment portal to pay the new link fee.

NPS on Umang

Using the PRAN and password, the Subscriber may access the most recent account information. Subscribers can view account details, adjust scheme preferences, contribute to subscriber accounts, and access a variety of other features. Subscribers can access their Tier 1 and Tier 2 account information.

Pay Income Tax on Umang

Taxpayers may use the challan 280 service to pay taxes such as Advance Tax, Self Assessment Tax, and other taxes. Taxpayers can monitor their challan status after submitting it using the Track Challan Status service.

How to register for Umang App?

Individuals can visit the website or download the Umaang app and follow the simple steps.

Step 1: Download the app

Step 2: Click on the New User.

Step 3: Select the Mobile Number option and enter the Mobile number

Step 4: Enter the OTP received on the mobile number.

Step 5: Set MPIN screen appears.

Step 6: Confirm MPIN, enter the same MPIN for confirmation

Step 7: Click the Proceed icon

Step 8: Enter Aadhaar details and verify

Step 9: Enter the profile information and click Save and proceed

After completing the UMANG registration process, the UMANG Home screen appears.

How to use Umang App Services?

Individual services must be accessed using credentials specific to that service. Although the UMANG App registration/login can be completed using any phone number in India and an OTP/password, individual services must be accessed using credentials specific to that service. Consider the following scenario:

EPFO: You must include your UAN as well as an OTP sent to your registered mobile number.

NPS: You must provide PRAN along with password/OTP to the registered mobile number.

Income Tax: You will be required to include your PAN as well as other important information such as your date of birth.
