However, the result of both(CBSE and State Boards) like Maharashtra, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu may is expected to be announced by June 2020.
With the latest updates, the Central Board of Secondary Education(CBSE) even have decided to announce the 10th and 12th Class new time-table 2020 after the lockdown periods end (After 14th April). Department is planning to upload the Central Board Class Exam date in the upcoming days on the official web portal. Senior MHRD officials shared with the media that the CBSE and NIOS Board examinations are likely to be conducted between April end to mid-May 2020. The officials have further stated that a decision, however, will be taken by the respective boards after analyzing the situation after April 14, 2020. Due to the exams being delayed the results of class 10 and 12 board exams will also be delayed as the evaluation process will also start post the lockdown. The results are expected to be declared by June 2020. The schedule, however, will only be applicable in case the examinations will resume after April 14, 2020.
However, It was expected that the CBSE Board will release its revised schedule by March 31, 2020. Unfortunately, the reports, suggests that the revised schedule has not been released by the board yet.
The National Testing Agency, on the other hand, has already extended the last date for the ongoing application process for the different entrance examinations. The NTA has postponed the JEE Main April 2020 exams and the NEET 2020 examinations scheduled to be held in May 2020. The revised schedules of both the examinations will be released after the analysis of the situation after April 14, 2020.
The CBSE postponed a total of 38 examinations for the class 1 students due to the COVID-19 spread while only 2 exams were postponed for the class 10 students. Apart from these, however, the exams for the students from Northeast Delhi which were rescheduled due to the violence experienced earlier in the year have also been postponed.
