In a good news for lakhs of Central government employees, the Centre is planning to once again hike the Dearness Allowance (DA) of its employees. It is to be noted that Central employees and pensioners are getting 28 percent DA from July 1 and the increase amount was paid with July salary. 

But the Central government employees are now waiting for DA of June 2021. According to reports, Centre may soon release DA for June as well. If this happens, then the total DA will increase from 28 percent to 31 percent. This means that there will be a bumper jump in the salary of central government employees.

As per reports, Centre is expected to release DA for June. And if it happens the DA will increase to 31% from 28%. This will result in increase in their salary. The June 2021 DA has yet not been finalized but the AICPI June data, the DA will see a rise by another 3%.

Further in accordance with the salary matrix of 7th Pay Commission, Level I central government employees is from a minimum of Rs. 18000 to a maximum of Rs 56,900.

The Modi government has increased the dearness allowance for central government employees to 28 percent with effect from July 1. The Union Cabinet had approved an 11 percent hike in Dearness Allowance (DA) and Dearness Relief (DR) for Central Government employees and pensioners with effect from July 1, benefiting over 48 lakh Central Government employees and 65 lakh pensioners. happened. Now the new rate of DA has increased from 17 percent to 28 percent.

The Department of Expenditure under the Ministry of Finance of the Office Memorandum said that the DA payable to central government employees will be increased from the existing 17 per cent to 28 per cent of the basic pay. This hike also includes additional installments of the hike on 1 January 2020, 1 July 2020 and 1 January 2021.
