₹ 5,000 discount On Electric Scooters: Hero Electric officially announced a special online sale scheme for its entire electric range of scooters. The company is offering a discount of up to ₹ 5,000 across most of its models. However, the Flash lead-acid low-speed model is excluded from this offer.
The special sale from Hero Electric is limited to all online bookings starting from April 17 till May 15, 2020. Interested customers will have to pay a booking amount of ₹ 2,999 irrespective of the model. Notably, the booking amount will be non-refundable except if the lockdown is extended beyond June.
All customers who book any Hero Electric scooter would avail an instant cash discount of Rs 5,000 while customers of Glyde and e-Cycle would get a cash discount of Rs 3,000. In addition to this, a cash benefit of Rs 1,000 will be offered to existing customers for reference purchases.
This offer is applicable only on bookings made online. Hero Electric’s current product portfolio of electric scooters comprise of models such as Flash, Nyx, Optima, Photon, Flash, Dash and also the ER (Extended Range) variants. The line-up also includes Glyde and E-Cycle, which are powered by high-quality lithium-ion batteries.

The company claims, customers can take delivery of the vehicles any time after the lockdown opens and up to June end.
During the 2020 Auto Expo in February this year, Hero Electric unveiled its first motorcycle-style electric two-wheeler. Called the AE-47, the electric motorcycle is claimed to have a range of 160 km and the top speed is restricted at 85 km/h.
