The Oppo K3 is set to be launched in India on July 19, about two months after it was launched in China. The latest smartphone by Oppo is a successor to the Oppo K1 and is likely to be an Amazon exclusive. The e-commerce giant has posted a teaser of the phone on its website with a ‘Notify Me’ link. The website does not mention the name of the smartphone and only uses the word ‘3.0’ in the teaser image but Zee Business Online has learnt that it is the Oppo K3. The teaser on the website also suggests the  smartphone would come with Full Screen AMOLED display, and Snapdragon 710 Processor.

As the smartphone has already been launched in China most of its features are already known. The Oppo K3 comes with 91.1% screen to body ratio and had also received a TUV Rheinland certification for cutting down blue light emission. It features a 6.5-inch full-HD+ (1080×2340 pixels) AMOLED display with 19.5:9 aspect ratio and DC dimming feature.

The Oppo K3 runs Android 9.0 with ColorOS 6.0 on top. It is powered by Snapdragon 710 SoC with up to 8GB of RAM. The smartphone comes with 3,765 mAh battery with VOOC 3.0 fast charging support and an in-display fingerprint scanner. All these features will also be found on the Indian variant, as confirmed by the Amazon teaser.

In China, the smartphone was launched in various hues and it will interesting to see if all the colours are introduced in India as well.

For photography, the Oppo K3 comes with a 16-MP rising selfie camera. At the back, it gets a 16-MP primary camera assisted by a 2-MP depth sensor. In China, the 6GB RAM and 64GB storage variant of Oppo K3 price starts at CNY 1,599 (approximately Rs 16,100), the 6GB RAM and 128GB storage variant is available at CNY 1,899 (approximately Rs 19,100) and the 8GB RAM and 256GB storage variant is priced at CNY 2,299 (approximately Rs 23,200). The Oppo K3 price in India is expected to be around the same mark and will be confirmed at the launch.

The smartphone will take on Xiaomi Redmi 7 Pro, Samsung Galaxy M40, Honor 20i and Vivo Z1Pro, among other smartphones in the country.
