Samsung Galaxy A51: Samsung is all set to launch its latest Galaxy A series smartphone, the Galaxy A51 later in the day today. The smartphone comes as the successor to the popular A50 smartphone from last year, which had helped Samsung make a dent in the sub Rs 25,000 segment of the market.

The Galaxy A51 comes to India after having been launched in Vietnam earlier in December last year. The device focuses on millennials and brings with it interesting features, including a quad-camera set-up with a 48-megapixel primary lens.

Samsung is slapping on an Infinity O display on the device with a 32-megapixel front camera tucked inside a punch-hole.

Samsung Galaxy A51 specifications

Talking about the specifications of the device, the Samsung Galaxy A51 is expected to bring the same hardware as seen on the global versions of the device. As such, the Indian model of the Galaxy A51 could end up sporting a 6.5-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED Infinity-O display with a centered punch-hole cutout.

Hidden underneath could be a 2.3GHz octa-core Exynos 9611 processor paired with up to 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage — expandable up to 512GB via a microSD card. The smartphone will be made available in three colors, Prism Crush Black, White, Blue, and Pink.

Apart from this, the phone could also sport a quad-camera setup with a primary 48-megapixel lens sat next to a 5-megapixel macro lens, 12-megapixel wide-angle lens, and 5-megapixel camera for depth sensing. Keeping the lights on the device would be a 4,000mAh battery with support for 15W fast charging.

There’s not much known about the Galaxy A51’s pricing strategy for now. However, previous reports suggest that the Galaxy A51’s pricing strategy could be such that Samsung would end up pricing the entry variant of the device at Rs 22,990.

As opposed to the global variant, in India, this will bring with it a RAM and storage configuration of 6GB + 128GB. There is also expected to be another variant. However, there’s little clarity on whether it will even come to India, or what will its price be if it indeed ends up being launched in the country.
